Dia: The Royal Muse

Dia is the decedent a long line of Muses, mythological beings of great power who could inspire great art in any form.  In accordance with both tradition and history, Muse's never became acquainted with those who they inspired, instead choosing to grant their gift upon those who did not realize they had been blessed, but Dia broke from tradition.  Dia saw the world differently from the first time she opened her eyes where one was blue and the other green.  Where the rest of her family had been content to work from the shadows, Dia welcomed the light, befriending artists and serving personally as their inspiration.  Dia never publicly declared that she was a Muse, and those she inspired remained oblivious to how she was able to enhance their art, but Dia soon had a legend of her own.  Dia's fame reached even to the Royal family where the Queen heard of the strange girl with the magnetic personality and mismatched eyes and wished to meet her.  A request from the Queen could not be ignored, even from a Muse and so Dia traveled to the Royal Palace to great the Queen in her personal rooms.  Not understanding that Dia had the power to inspire others, but could not perform herself, the Queen asked that Dia play for her and she was given a lyre.  Dia had never before held so much as stick of charcoal with the intention of drawing, and so she toyed with the instrument before realizing that she could play it, and inspired herself to play a simple tune that was the first of many masterful songs.  Amazed with the ability to inspire herself, as well as the ability to create something of her own, Dia stayed in service to the Queen inspiring others, as well as herself, to create epic works of art.
